India Urges Citizens in Iran to Stay Indoors Amid US Strikes

Embassy: Avoid power plants, stay indoors for 48 hours

The Indian Embassy in Iran said, "In continuation of previous advisories, Indian nationals who are still in Iran must stay where they are for the next 48 hours, avoiding all electric, military installations and upper floors of multi-storey buildings, remaining indoors, and coordinating any highway movement strictly with the Embassy," in an advisory.
"Those in Embassy-hired hotels should stay put indoors while maintaining regular contact with on-site embassy teams. All are requested to monitor official updates closely. The Embassy's emergency numbers (+989128109115; +989128109109; +989128109102; +989932179359) remain operational," it added.

Trump: "A Whole Civilisation Will Die"

Donald Trump warned that Iran would face dire consequences in a strong warning. Trump said, "A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I do n’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”
"We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!" he added.
Despite the intensity of his remarks, Trump did not confirm or deny his plans for the strike. He indicated that any attempt could be scrapped at any time, depending on the outcome. The US allegedly attacked Kharg Island, one of the most important ports of Iranian oil and gas. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) warned that the US attack could strip their allies of oil and gas for years.

US Denies Nuclear Plans

The White House has denied that it considered using nuclear weapons on Iran in light of ongoing tensions in the region. This news came just hours after US President Donald Trump issued a dire warning, warning that "a whole civilisation will die" if Iran does not open the strategically important Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday. Trump has threatened massive strikes on Iranian infrastructure such as power plants and bridges should Iran fail to do so, prompting fears of escalating violence.

India evacuates 1,862 citizens from Iran

The conflict was started by the US and Israel strikes on Iran on February 28. After the crisis escalated 7.6 lakh passengers left the region for India. There are about 8,000 Indians in Iran, and the embassy in Tehran has flown 1,862 Indians from Iran to Armenia and Azerbaijan for travel to India, including 935 Indian students and 472 Indian fishermen.
