ED wants Kejriwal’s phone password
Atishi also said that Arvind Kejriwal’s custody was extended for a few more days because Kejriwal has not given her the password of his phone. ED had said that the phone which was used by Arvind Kejriwal at the time of formulation and implementation of the liquor policy could not be found.
Atishi has alleged that ED is working as a political weapon of BJP. He wants to access the phone of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to know about AAP’s Lok Sabha election strategy. BJP wants Arvind Kejriwal’s phone password, not ED.
Delhi CM is in ED custody till 1st April
On March 28, Rouse Avenue Court extended the ED custody of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal by 4 more days in the liquor policy case. Now he will remain in custody till April 1. Before this, the hearing went on in the court for 39 minutes. Kejriwal himself pleaded his case. He has become the first sitting CM of the country to do so.
ED had sought 7 more days’ custody of Kejriwal from the court. After hearing the arguments, Rouse Avenue Court had reserved the decision. Thursday’s hearing in the court started at 1.59 pm and ended at 2.39 pm.
Protesting against his arrest, Kejriwal said that my name has appeared only four places in this case. Four statements were given and among them, the statement in which I was implicated was brought before the court. Are these 4 statements enough to arrest a Chief Minister?
In response to this, ED said – The Chief Minister is not above the law. At the same time, while going to appear in the court, he was asked that the LG had said that the government will not run from jail. In response to this, Kejriwal said that this is a political conspiracy, the public will answer for it.
