Kishan Jumps 17 Spots to 8th in T20I Rankings Update

New Delhi (India) February 18:Despite some form problems, India opener Abhishek Sharma still holds firmly at the top of the batter list, with teammate Ishan Kishan jumping a mind-boggling total of 17 spots to eighth place overall after his Player of the Match performance against Pakistan.

Kishan's Huge Jump

Kishan’s phenomenal form aided his staggering rise through the ICC rankings. At 78th when he broke through back into the T20I setup earlier this season, he zoomed to 32nd place by the time the T20 World Cup started, and made it to 25th in the previous two matches.
A 77 run performance versus Pakistan has now helped climb him into eighth place. With Kishan, Tilak Varma also got a run in the batting rankings. He climbed up one spot to fourth.
