The police personnel in Thung Lung district also got reports of the gunman being unpredictable and threatening to attack his mother inside a house near the school.
Nation Thailand had reported that the suspect had entered the school and fired gunfire at about 4.59 pm. The teen was arrested soon after the final gunfire was reported at 6.15pm, the report said.

According to Nation Thailand’s official account, the suspect is 19 and is identified as Khemnan. Previous accounts said that the suspect was 18. ‌
In a police photograph shared, ‌the suspect, with his bare feet and in shorts and a T-shirt,is held on the ground by armed officers.

Another video, which isn’t immediately verifiable, is of students running down the stairs at the school while police — some wearing helmets and black bullet-proof vests and carrying rifles.
Eyewitnesses said the man was seeking a teacher who had once disciplined his younger sister. 

Injured in Gunfire Chaos – Victims Rushed to Surgery

Police reports said the gunman fired numerous shots at the school in Songkhla province and took the hostages of teachers and students, before they were freed.
Other hostages besides the school director, were all rescued alive. A woman and a 14-year-old girl suffered gunshot wounds, Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health said, and then they were both hospitalized and underwent surgery, while another child was hurt with an ankle injury after “falling from a height," the ministry said.
