Suicide Bomber from Fitna al Khwarij Kills 2 Pak Army Heroes in Khyber Op

New Delhi (India) February 21:Two security personnel were killed in a suicide attack during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan on Saturday, military's media wing said.

What is Fitna al Khwarij?

“Fitna al Khwarij” was directed at a convoy from a security forces’ intelligence-based operation, according to the Pakistani army, conducted against terrorists in the Bannu district. Fitna al Khawarij is the name Pakistan uses for terrorists of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
“A vehicle-borne suicide bomber was intercepted by the leading group, foiling his nefarious design to target innocent civilians/law enforcement personnel in Bannu City, averting major catastrophe,” the army statement said.

Quick Save Stops Big Attack

Pakistan military statement stated a vehicle-borne suicide bomber was intercepted. This hindered the attacker from accomplishing his goal, averting a major disaster.
Pakistani officials said that TTP terrorists had been tracked down in the operation, as well as some fatalities during that fight. But then the terrorists drove a vehicle loaded with explosives into the army convoy.

Brave Soldiers Die in Blast

The explosion killed 43-year-old Lt Colonel Shahzada Gul Faraz, from Mansehra, depicted by ISPR as a brave commanding officer, noted for his bold actions when leading his men from the front, and 28-year-old Sepoy Karamat Shah from Peshawar. The army stated that the rapid interception and response by security personnel helped limit civilian casualties and averted a larger-scale attack in the urban area.

TTP Attacks Keep Rising

The incident underscores still-ongoing security challenges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in districts bordering Afghanistan, where TTP militants have intensified operations at great cost despite the military’s crackdowns against them.
Militant attacks in recent months have occurred repeatedly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a place where vehicle-borne explosives and ambushes have been carried out on security installations.

Recent Madrasa Horror Adds to Terror

It should be mentioned that a few days ago, near a madrasa in Malangi, an explosion occurred and the whole structure was completely destroyed in the blast. The explosion was so strong that neighbouring buildings were damaged, the windows of numerous households were shattered, and panic amongst the people was created.
Eyewitnesses said smoke soared in the air following the explosion. The shooting soon rumbled after the bomb explosion as terrorists tried to surge into the area.
