Ram Mandir consecration to be broadcast live in Times Square, New York

On January 22, the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a significant and sacred occasion for millions of Hindus, will be broadcast live from New York City’s famous Times Square. Along with thousands of temples and booths around India, the event will also be televised at numerous Indian embassies and consulates around the globe. India’s cultural and spiritual legacy will be highlighted in the live broadcast of the consecration event at Times Square in New York City, which will be a spectacle for the entire world to see. Lord Ram will once again be on exhibit in Times Square; in August 2020, a digital billboard featuring the Ram Temple was played there in honour of the Bhoomi Pujan.

In the ceremony of consecration, the idol of the deity is given life, called Pran-Pratishtha. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a high priest from Varanasi, will carry it out. He will pray to Lord Ram and recite Vedic mantras. A week-long celebration known as Amrit Mahautsav will conclude with the ceremony. It will start on January 16 with several Vedic ceremonies and a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, during which thousands of devotees will be fed.

100 chartered planes to land in Ayodhya

In advance of the eagerly awaited Ram temple consecration ceremony, the aviation infrastructure of the riverfront U.P. town expanded on Thursday with the introduction of the first tri-weekly aircraft between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya. The airplane was flagged off virtually by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and other high-ranking officials.

Excitement was high for the ceremonial launch, which saw CM Adityanath personally hand over the boarding card for the first flight. The chief minister spoke on the occasion and stated that on January 22, about 100 chartered aircraft carrying guests to the “pran pratishtha” ceremony are anticipated to land at the Ayodhya airport. He mentioned that a lot of plane landings will also aid in evaluating the newly constructed airport’s potential.

Developments in Uttar Pradesh Infrastructure

Highlighting the significant developments in Uttar Pradesh’s aviation infrastructure, Scindia remarked, “PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Ayodhya Airport and Railway Station on December 30. We started the first flight between Ayodhya and Delhi on the same day, operated by IndiGo and Air India Express.” He added, “Today, a new history is being created. We all witnessed New Year’s excitement on the holy land of Ayodhya on December 30, when a grand and new Ayodhya airport was unveiled in the presence of PM Modi.” Scindia went on, highlighting the expansion of the state’s aviation industry,” “Uttar Pradesh had only six airports in 2014, and now the state has 10 airports, including Ayodhya airport. By the next year, UP will have 5 more airports. One airport each in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot will be inaugurated in the next month. An international-level airport will also be ready in Jewar by the end of this year.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on December 30
