New Delhi (India) June 5: In his first meeting with the entire Council of Ministers since Operation Sindoor began, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Wednesday that the nature of warfare had changed and that indigenous weaponry had demonstrated their strength during the operation.

Sources claim that ministers were also briefed on Operation Sindoor, which PM Modi characterised as an example of India's increasing influence internationally.

The meeting was held barely four days before the NDA-III administration completed the first year of its third term and celebrated 11 years in office.

According to Modi, "Make in India" should be given as much emphasis as possible when it comes to weapons. He claimed that during Operation Sindoor, India proved its power. On a lighter note, he pointed out that people in border states like Punjab may have been curious about the whereabouts of tanks and train loads of such weapons.

PM Modi said, “Our goals are big and time is short. We must work with full attention to our targets” to the cabinet.

PM Modi also reminded the ministers to remain results-oriented and focus on emphasising the scope and urgency of the government's ongoing mission. He also advised the ministers to concentrate on measurable outcomes rather than drawing comparisons to past governments.

PM Modi also discussed expanding public outreach and examined the accomplishments of a number of flagship programs to make sure that the public is aware of the government's achievements. Ministers also gave briefings on national priorities, infrastructure development, and landmark projects.

The conference also included a presentation by the Jal Shakti Ministry and discussions of the road map of projects under the Roads and Highways Ministry and Railways.

The Prime Minister declared that all ministries will shortly move to the newly built Central Vista Secretariat, which will improve interministerial coordination and provide more workspace. He also stressed on the importance of effectiveness and quality in all government initiatives.

The complete Council of Ministers met for the first time following Operation Sindoor. According to sources, condolences for the victims of the Bengaluru stampede were also offered during the meeting which happened during a public celebration of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team winning the Indian Premier League cricket championship.
