The rumblings of the Lok Sabha elections are being heard. Candidates of all parties have started taking charge in their areas. The election campaign has also started. Narendra Modi started the election campaign with a public meeting in Meerut. On April 4, PM Modi will come to Jammu to campaign in Bihar. In this sequence, Lalu’s family also started campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress is leading the INDI alliance formed against the Narendra Modi government, which is seeking a third term in power. In Bihar, RJD stood as a stronghold of the Congress party. But this time RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav is going to play a major role in the Lok Sabha elections. In this order, two daughters of Lalu Yadav are entering the battlefield of 2024 elections. Rohini Acharya Saran is going to start her political innings from the Lok Sabha seat. Misa Bharti is once again trying her luck from the Patliputra seat. While Saran constituency is in Lalu Yadav’s account, Patiliputra seat which is currently held by BJP has become a challenge for him. In such a situation, will Mesa and Rohini be able to save their father’s political legacy? The discussion started.

Rohini Acharya is a political debutant from Saran

Lalu Yadav started his political innings from the Saran Lok Sabha seat formerly known as Chhapra. Chapra is the birthplace of Jaiprakash Narayan. In 1977, Lalu Yadav contested the first election and became an MP, making it his field of activity. After that he continued as MP for four times. The last time he won the election from Saran’s seat was in 2009 and since then BJP candidate Rajiv Pratap has been the Rudy MP. Rohini Acharya Lalu is going to contest the election from Chhapra. Because of this now the responsibility of returning not only Lalu’s legacy but also the lost credibility is on her shoulders.

In 2014, Lalu Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi and his daughter-in-law Chandrika Roy contested from Saran’s seat in 2014 on RJD ticket but failed to win. In such circumstances, this Saran battle has become a question for Lalu Yadav’s political existence and credibility. That is why Lalu is believed to have invited his daughter who is a kidney donor from Singapore and given her the Lok Sabha ticket instead of fielding someone else. Senior BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy is contesting from Rohini in this seat which is dominated by Yadavs and Rajputs.

Misa is determined to win from Patiliputra

Patilputra Lok Sabha seat was once known as Patna. It came into political existence after delimitation in 2009. Lalu Yadav and Misa Bharti contested elections on the Patliputra seat. But they could not win. It is the workplace of Lalu’s close friend Ramkripal Yadav, who has been a five-time MP from this seat. In 2009, Lalu Yadav himself contested the election to replace Ram Kripal but failed to win. After this, in 2014, Lalu Yadav fielded his elder daughter Misa Bharti, while Ramkripal Yadav joined the BJP.

In the 2014 and 2019 elections, Misa Bharti contested against Ramkripal Yadav from the Patliputra seat but failed to win. Lalu sent Misa Bharti to the Rajya Sabha. But the desire to contest elections from Patliputra seat still remains.
