Abhijeet Dipke Explains CJP’s Stance on Elections
The founder of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijeet Dipke, has also explained that the organization is not focused on contesting elections. Instead, the group's mission, he says, is to bring important student issues to attention and push for accountability from authorities. Dipke’s remarks at a news conference in the lead-up to a protest event challenged the idea that citizens need to enter politics to be heard. “Why should we go to the polls to fight for our rights?” he asked. As Dipke says in his analysis, it is “the movement that is about doing nothing more than ensuring that the students' concerns are addressed rather than seeking political power.” His comments come as demonstrations swept through the country by the CJP over allegations of improper examinations and students' problems in education stand out.
Dipke Puts PM Modi Under Fire for Student Worries
On the media scene, Dipke assailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi very harshly, saying student issues have not got proper attention. Citing the NEET-UG mess, a recent surge in reports of student anxiety in the light of examination-related developments, Dipke said the leadership should reach out to students directly and understand their needs. He wondered why there was no public outreach; no outreach and no messaging to impacted students and families. National leaders often comment on international developments, but need to cover the issues relevant to young people in the country, Dipke said. He called on the Prime Minister to listen to students and get personal with them to identify more clearly their needs and struggles.
Pressure for resignation continues for Dharmendra Pradhan
The CJP founder repeated that the CJP's nationwide protest campaign would continue until the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan steps down. Dipke said students had a right to accountability and transparency around examination-related issues. The protest campaign already has received some interest in several cities in India today and many of them are getting students, etc into the fray.

Dipke’s protests in Jaipur drew a new round of scrutiny after he was reportedly attacked at a protest gathering in India’s Jaipur on Monday, following accusations of him being assaulted. When supporters allegedly carried him, two individuals allegedly slapped him several times. In relation to the incident, officials subsequently arrested two youths. After the attack Dipke claimed people belonging to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), are to blame. He said the incident was a ploy to distract from student concerns and weaken the protest movement. But all these allegations have not been officially confirmed and investigations are continuing. CJP Movement Continues to Grow. The Cockroach Janta Party is an unconventional, but potent youth movement. What all began as an online campaign has turned into a national stage for protests protesting education, exam reforms and the welfare of its students. The movement is dedicated to nonviolence in protests and will continue to focus on student issues throughout the country, Dipke said. He continues to say this topic will focus on education changes, exam transparency and support for students, not the other way around.

As protests in various places of India rage on, the issue of student welfare, exam transparency and accountability of the government takes center stage. With Abhijeet Dipke saying that CJP is “not looking to enter electoral politics,” the organization seems determined to keep fighting as a public movement and not as any other political party. Weeks ahead would be critical as the group demands a response on student-issues and presses for greater national exposure, it said.
