16th June 2023,Mumbai: Surat’s Indoor Stadium was abuzz with excitement as the Cricket Tadka-2023 event unfolded, showcasing a remarkable display of cricketing prowess. The three-day competition, organized by the South Gujarat Caterers Association, reached its pinnacle with a thrilling championship game between Churma Royals and Chilli Challengers, ultimately won by the Churma Royals. The tournament became a crucial turning point, uniting the spirit of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Khelo India campaign.
Delegates Dhavalbhai Nanavati and Rajeshbhai Ajmera of the South Gujarat Caterers Association expressed their enthusiasm for the occasion. Comprising around 150 members working in the culinary industry in South Gujarat, the association aims to promote economic and social progress within the community. Alongside their families, the members actively participate in various programs to foster camaraderie and support.
The Cric”et Tadka-2023 competition provided a unique sports opportunity for the association’s members. The teams engaged in a series of league games from June 8 to June 10, followed by captivating semifinal matches that set the stage for the highly anticipated clash between Churma Royals and Chilli Challengers.
The final game enthralled fans as both teams showcased exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship. The audience was on the edge of their seats, witnessing an intense battle on the cricket pitch. Ultimately, Churma Royals emerged victorious, lifting the coveted Champions Trophy, a testament to their strength and skill.
Shilpa Shah received the title of the Series’ Woman, while Milind Bhanderi earned the Series’ Man award. Ketan Bhalala was honored as the best bowler, while Brijesh Jhalavdia claimed the batsman’s trophy. Nanalal Caterers emerged as the Ola Winner.
