New Delhi: The Father-in-law of Telugu star Allu Arjun, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, showed up at the Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad after the actor was arrested in relation to a stampede at Sandhya Theatre on the day ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was released. The Hyderabad Police are questioning Arjun in connection with the incident of a woman’s death. ANI posted a video of Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy entering the police station on Friday, however, he chose not to comment on the circumstances. Reddy asked police permission to enter the station but avoided answering reporters' questions about his son-in-law's arrest. He can be heard saying, "Inspector, please let us in. It's not like we would do anything. The incident happened on December 4, when a sizable audience gathered at the Sandhya Theatre to see the celebrity. The 35-year-old woman died of asphyxiation in the chaos, while her eight-year-old son was hospitalised. In response to the incident, Allu Arjun, his security detail, and the theatre management were charged by the Chikkadpally police on December 5 under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The FIR was based on a complaint filed by the woman’s family. Allu Arjun had previously pleaded with the Telangana High Court to dismiss the FIR that had been filed against him in relation to the woman's death.
