Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan, received his degree from the University of Southern California’s (USC) School of Cinematic Arts. Additionally, photos from the graduation ceremony went viral. The dean of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Elizabeth Daley, and the chair of the division of cinema and media studies at the same institution, Dr. Priya Jaikumar, have now discussed about Aryan. Not only did they discuss his web series, but they also mentioned that Covid prevented them from ever seeing him in person.
ARYAN’S USC PROFESSORS ON HIS WEB SERIES
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan attended USC School of Cinematic Arts. In an interview with Indian Express, Elizabeth Daley, dean of the school, and Dr. Priya Jaikumar, professor and chair of the division of cinema and media studies, answered questions concerning the student. Opening up about him, Priya Jaikumar said, “We never met him when he was there because COVID was what took one and a half yearsâ€æ There is one class called ‘Intro to Cinema’, everyone has to take it. But I know of my graduate students who were TAs for that class because it is literally 350 students, two sections, and they worked with Aryan. So, we were actually talking to his dad (Shah Rukh Khan) as well.”
They also added, “Aryan has a streaming show coming out and what he mentioned was that he was very influenced by his time at USC and in Cinematic Arts. So, he’s working with at least 2-3 other people from there.” Adding further to it, Elizabeth Daley revealed, “His dad offered him some professional crew but Aryan said, ‘No, no, I am bringing my USC friends!’ He graduated the year we had commencement in the Colosseum; that was the end of the Covid because we couldn’t be indoors.”
Following his schooling at the prestigious Sevenoaks in London, Aryan joined the University of Southern California to pursue a degree in filmmaking and writing. In 2019, he made his voice acting debut in the Hindi-dubbed version of The Lion King (2019), where he voiced the titular character (aka Simba).
Aryan Khan’s project debut
With the establishment of Slab Ventures in 2022, Khan, along with his business associates Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva, started a luxury collective brand called D’yavol, which takes its name from the Bulgarian word for devil.[1][12] They collaborated with Anheuser-Busch InBev, a brewing corporation, to introduce D’yavol Vodka, a premium vodka brand.[13] The next year they introduced D’yavol Inception, a blended malt scotch.[14] In 2023, Khan also introduced D’yavol X, a high-end clothing line.[15] He made his directorial debut directing a brand-advertising video that starred him and his father.
As of now, Khan is filming a streaming series, tentatively titled Stardom, set against the backdrop of the Hindi film industry, on which he will serve as showrunner, writer, and director. It will be produced by his father under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
