Hrithik Roshan claims that although the universe of Fighter is opulent and larger than life, there are significant differences between the director’s previous works, namely War and Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan, and his most recent project with Siddharth Anand. In the aerial action film, Hrithik portrays an Air Force pilot, and he admits it took him some time to get into Patty’s skin.

As Air Force pilots, fighter stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor are among them. The film’s aesthetic and tone, as well as Hrithik’s portrayal of Patty, may resemble the grand theatrical productions Siddharth is renowned for, but the actor claims that with this picture, he is also stepping outside of his comfort zone and attempting something novel.

Siddharth Anand says that the cuts will not affect the film much

The director Siddharth Anand said in an interview that everything in his films is organic. He asserts that there are instances when you act in ways that you believe are best for your movie at that particular moment. The director acknowledged that they must accept the Censor Board’s adherence to certain guidelines.

Expanding on this, the director stated that those cuts have been politely accepted and would not alter the story in the slightest. He clarified that the material that was omitted was found in the closing credits of the movie. Thus, those shots didn’t matter. In the meantime, the director talked about how his movie has been compared to Top Gun ever since its trailers were released. Siddharth said he interpreted it as a compliment. According to him, ‘Top Gun’ is an iconic film and brand. If these comparisons are happening, it means that the two worlds are being compared.

The director clarified that after watching Fighter, viewers will understand that it is a Desi movie. He went on to say that it is based on an event that occurred in our nation in 2019. The director revealed that there aren’t many films that depict this reality, and he wants viewers to assess, observe, and provide feedback.

‘He is not Kabir or Pathaan’ -Hrithik about his character Patty

“It took time for me to be convinced about Patty. He is not larger than life, the film is larger than life. Up until then I was doing characters which a larger-than-life emotional arc, but I understood that what Sid was trying to achieve, he was breaking his own mould and constructing a hero, by taking aspects of me as a person, putting them together and saying. ‘Hey, this is what I want from you and here is my character, who is not larger than life.’ He is not Kabir or Pathaan, he is just a guy,” Hrithik said in an interview.

Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ also stars Anil Kapoor and is slated for a big-screen release today January 25th.
