Celebrity Chef Rajeesh’s Signature Cakes Bring Festive Rush to Café Al Bacio

Kozhikode | December 30, 2022 – Café Al Bacio, a café and bakery chain based in Kerala, has reported its highest cake sales for the full year 2022, with a sharp increase in volumes during the year-end festive season. The brand, which operates 6 outlets across Kerala, recorded a sharp rise in custom cake orders, supported by growing brand recognition.

Founder and Managing Director Celebrity Chef Rajeesh VC confirmed that over 2.7 lakh cakes were sold across its outlets in 2022. The sales increase has been driven by demand for popular varieties, including chocolate truffle, fruit cream, and customized theme-based celebration cakes.

Before launching the business in 2017, Rajeesh worked as a chef on board international cruise lines such as P&O Cruises (UK) and Celebrity Cruise Lines (USA). His international experience helped shape the brand’s standards in cake preparation, quality, and presentation. That background has contributed to the steady growth of Café Al Bacio as a recognized name in Kerala and parts of South India.

The cakes are noted for their texture, appearance, and timely preparation. Demand was especially strong in Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram, with several outlets reporting over 40% more orders than usual.

On December 25, 2022, Chef Rajeesh visited HMSA U.P. School in Thurakkal, Manjeri, where he was invited as the chief guest for a school celebration. On the occasion, he presented a 140-kilogram chocolate truffle cake, measuring 55 meters long and one meter wide. It was the largest cake ever made in Café Al Bacio’s history.

Café Al Bacio is preparing to expand into international markets in the coming years, with its signature cakes and baked specialties expected to reach customers across Europe, the Middle East, and selected regions in Asia.
