Pat Cummins of Sunrisers Hyderabad retreats after being out of the Indian Premier League cricket match on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Hyderabad, India, between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After Sunrisers Hyderabad’s April 25 loss to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 35 runs, captain Pat Cummins sent out encouraging words for his team.

“It was not the best night. We were a little off with the ball and, regrettably, lost a couple of wickets during our innings. I believe our attacking style of cricket is our strongest suit. It won’t function in every game. Even though things didn’t go our way in the first one or two games, we were still able to secure a respectable total. “I still believe that this is the right path for our boys,” Cummins stated following the match.

“The boys have been going really well,” he continued. Since this is T20 cricket, you cannot expect to win every match. Avoid thinking about this too much.

Batting first and setting records for total runs scored has been a major part of SRH’s success this season. Twice this season, they have surpassed the IPL record for highest scoring. However, this time the coin suited RCB captain Faf du Plessis, who chose to bowl SRH rather than Cummins’s initial option. “We decided to bat first, and it appears to be effective for us. We had believed that we were a bowl-first squad prior to the last several victories. didn’t work out as planned,” Cummins said. Following their game on Wednesday, SRH will play again on April 28 against the Chennai Super Kings.

As the Royal Challengers snap a six-match losing streak, Virat Kohli can’t stop giggling.Rajat Patidar of the RCB scored 51 off 43 balls, while Kohli hit 50 runs off 20 balls and five sixes in his second consecutive half-century. SRH had a target of 206 set by the RCB. In spite of this, Hyderabad’s powerful batting team managed to score 171-8 (20 overs) against one of the tournament’s poorest bowling assaults. Abhishek Sharma did make a start, scoring 31 off 13 balls, but he too was caught behind in the fourth over. Australian Travis Head dropped for just one run. Aiden Markram, the leading batsman for the SRH, was out for seven, and Heinrich Klaasen, who was quite accurate, also fell for the same amount. Left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh, who finished with figures of 2-40 in three overs, got both of them out.
