India vs Afghanistan Test: Massive Win for India by Innings & 300 Runs

India delivered a record-breaking performance as they defeated Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in the one-off Test at New Chandigarh on Monday. This became India’s biggest Test win in terms of innings margin.

India’s Dominant First Innings

Batting first, India posted a huge total of 564/8 declared, powered by strong centuries from captain Shubman Gill and experienced batter KL Rahul. With such a massive score, India put Afghanistan under pressure from the start.

Manav Suthar Shines on Dream Debut

Young spinner Manav Suthar stole the spotlight with a brilliant debut performance. He picked up 6 wickets for 33 runs, becoming one of the best debut bowling performances by an Indian in Test cricket.

His performance helped break Afghanistan’s middle order completely and pushed them into a follow-on situation.

India’s Spin Attack Finishes the Job

In the second innings, Afghanistan showed brief resistance through Sediqullah Atal (42) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (24). But once again, India’s spin duo of Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav took control.

Afghanistan collapsed badly, losing their last 9 wickets for just 38 runs, and were bowled out for 112 runs in just 35.5 overs.

Final Result

India won the match by an innings and 300 runs, completing a dominant victory shortly after tea on Day 3.

Manav Suthar was named Player of the Match for his overall impact, including 7 wickets in the match and useful runs with the bat.
