28th June 2023,Mumbai: The actor Asin, widely known for portraying Kalpana Shetty in Ghajini, has reacted to rumours that she and her husband Rahul Sharma are getting a divorce. On Wednesday, Asin shared on her instagram Stories that she and Rahul are presently taking advantage of their summer vacation. She rejected the reports, saying they were ‘very imaginative and completely baseless news.’
Asin commented, “We are currently enjoying our summer vacation while practically sitting across from each other while eating breakfast and came across some extremely creative and completely fictitious ‘NEWS’. It reminds me of the day we were planning our wedding with our families while at home when we learned that we had broken up. Please improve. (Disappointed for wasting 5 minutes of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys.”
The rumours began after Asin allegedly removed all but one of her Instagram posts with Rahul. Additionally, she deleted the pictures from her wedding from her social media profile. Her most recent entry was from the fifth birthday celebration for her daughter Arin. Dated October 2022, the post. “They are among the happiest couples we know”, said a source. “Rahul adores Asin and is a devoted father and spouse. They are the kind of sincere, down-to-earth couple one seldom ever encounters, and they like avoiding drama and attention. They keep a low profile and avoid social media for this specific reason. It’s absurd to read something like this about a pair like them. In actuality, they are on a holiday together with their daughter and are having a good laugh about it.”
On her Instagram, Asin has only retained one image of herself and her spouse. The article serves as a memorial for the late actor Rishi Kapoor. Rishi was there at the wedding reception for Asin and Rahul, where the black-and-white picture was taken.
Following the reports, a fan account earlier uploaded several images of the couple and included a lengthy letter. “There seemed to be a lot of conversation about the AR couple on the internet”, according to a portion of the caption. “Many people have questioned me about it, and I expressed the same concerns at the time she abruptly removed numerous posts from her account a few months ago. However, Asin engages in a number of peculiar activities on her Instagram account(Iykyk), therefore I don’t think we can conclude anything based on her Instagram activity.”
“There were some significant conversations on Instagram”, it continued. “I’m just curious as to why no one noticed the decrease in her Instagram posts prior to now, given that she already deleted the images in February. Additionally, this is not the first time she has deleted one of her posts; she once removed a photo commemorating the wedding anniversary of her parents. Does this indicate that she is at odds with them? Does the fact that she removed the post about Sridevi after she passed away indicate that she no longer loves Sridevi?”
Rahul, Asin’s husband, is one of Micromax’s co-founders. After being married to Rahul in 2016, she gave up acting. Arin, the couple’s first child, was born in 2017.
In Tamil and Telugu movies, Asin was a well-known actor. In the 2001 Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka, Asin made her acting debut. In 2008, she debuted in Bollywood with Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. Asin went on to appear in films including Khiladi 786, Bol Bachchan, and Housefull 2. 2015 saw the release of her most recent film, All Is Well.
