30th June 2023,Mumbai: Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, is preparing for an August 11 release. Fans were treated to a replica of the famous Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava song from the movie’s predecessor, Gadar, prior to its theatrical debut. Anil Sharma, the director of Gadar 2, has now prepared another surprise for us. He stated in an interview that Main Nikla Gaddi Leke, a song from Gadar that is still a fan favourite, will be replayed in Gadar 2. The new version, however, will be more “modernised,” the filmmaker stated, keeping in mind the current audience.
Anil Sharma disclosed that music director Mithoon had remade the Main Nikla Gaddi Leke track during a conversation. “It uses a lot of contemporary and young music and noises. Unke saath jab hum Tara, Sakeena, aur iss gaane ko dekhte hai toh aisa ek feel aata hai ki hum yaadon ki jhoole mein jhool rahe hai, anand hi hilorein le rahein hain (When we will see the song along with the chemistry of Tara and Sakeena, we are sure to become nostalgic and walk down the memory lane),” he said.
Anil Sharma continued by saying that while folk songs are typically adapted for the screen, Main Nikla Gaddi Leke is the only song to have served as an inspiration for other folk songs. “Rajasthan mein yeh gaana bajaya jaata hai, Aaj sab jagah. (This song can be heard all throughout Rajasthan),” the director of the movie said. The original writers of Main Nikla Gaddi Leke, Gadar music director Uttam Singh and lyricist Anand Bakshi, were given credit by Anil Sharma for the song’s success.
Anil Sharma didn’t fail to convey his gratitude to the large crowd for showering Main Nikla Gaddi Leke with their undulating affection. The director closed by referring to the song as the “public’s song” and expressing his happiness that the general public is liking it. Until now, there has been no updates about the song’s release date.
Gadar 2 also features Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in addition to Utkarsh Sharma and Manish Wadhwa. The father-son relationship will be the main theme of the tale this time. Almost 20 years after Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel’s Sakeena reunited in Gadar, it has been reported that the Gadar 2 will take place in India in the 1970s.
