16th June 2023, Mumbai: In the much-awaited film Satyaprem Ki Katha, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, an energetic and visually captivating song titled “Gujju Pataka” has been released. This lively track serves as an introduction to the main character portrayed by Kartik in the movie.
“Gujju Pataka,” composed by Meet Bros with lyrics by Kumaar, showcases Kartik Aaryan gracefully dancing amidst a group of women, symbolizing his potential future spouses. The song brilliantly captures the essence of weddings, with Kartik donning an array of wedding-related outfits throughout the performance.
With each costume change, Kartik transforms into a different groom persona, including a dark green lungi, a black kurta, an orange sherwani, a golden kurta, a white suit, and even a South Indian avatar with a black kurta. The song’s visuals present a variety of wedding setups, ranging from a traditional shaadi with dhol to a picturesque Christian beach wedding.
In a previously released teaser, Kartik’s Gujju Pataka avatar showcased a tattoo bearing these words on his chest. The newly released song further solidifies Kartik’s position as the most eligible bachelor In the Gujju community.
Expressing his excitement, Kartik took to Twitter to share the song’s video, referring to it as his “favorite dance number” from the upcoming movie. The choreography for “Gujju Pataka” has been crafted by Bosco-Ceaser, who has previously collaborated with Kartik on popular dance numbers like “Character Dheela 2.0” from Shehzaada and the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the love drama Satyaprem Ki Katha also features acclaimed actor Rajpal Yadav, who reunites with Kartik after the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Gajraj Roa, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Shikha Talsania, and more, portraying Kartik’s parents and sister, respectively. Produced by Jayantilala Gada’s Pen India Ltd. And Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 29, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Eid.
Reflecting on the movie, Kartik expressed his belief that audiences will be able to relate to Satyaprem Ki Katha as it showcases a character named Sattu, who embodies strength, bravery, and relatability. Sattu holds a special place in Kartik’s heart and remains his favorite character to date.
