19 August 2023, Mumbai: Superstar Rajinikanth arrived in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, where he briefly interacted with the media and revealed his plans to watch his film “Jailer” with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The veteran actor has been traveling to various cities, previously visiting Jharkhand and now making his way to Lucknow for a special viewing of his film.

Upon arriving in Lucknow, Rajinikanth expressed his excitement about watching “Jailer” alongside CM Yogi Adityanath, stating, “Yes, I am going to watch my film (‘Jailer’) with him.” He also humbly acknowledged the massive success of his film, saying, “Sab bhagwan ki dua hai” (It’s a blessing from God), before stepping into his vehicle.

Rajninikanth Speaks on his Visit to Lucknow

Rajinikanth’s visit to Lucknow also includes visits to spiritual places in the city. Prior to arriving in Lucknow, he visited the Chhinnamasta Temple in Ranchi, where he spent time in meditation and offered prayers. Reflecting on his visit, Rajinikanth mentioned, “It felt great. I went to Chhinnamasta temple. I was thinking to visit the temple for many years, and this time I went there, it felt great. This is the third time I came here and will come every year.”

Before the release of “Jailer,” Rajinikanth embarked on a spiritual journey to the Himalayas, a place he used to frequent on numerous occasions. However, due to various reasons, including the Covid-19 pandemic, he hadn’t been able to visit for the past four years. During his recent trip, he visited the Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand and meditated in a cave at Pandavkholi.

“Jailer,” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, features an ensemble cast including Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, and comedian Yogi Babu, with Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff making cameo appearances. In the film, Rajinikanth portrays the father of a police officer. Released on August 10, the film has garnered significant success, reaching an 8-day total collection of ₹235.65 crore according to reports. As Rajinikanth continues his journey and engagement with fans, his presence and dedication to his work continue to captivate audiences across India.
