New Delhi [India], May 31: Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), a leading organization in the Indian cooperative sector, has achieved another milestone in the financial year 2024-25 by recording a pre-tax profit of ₹3,811 crore. This marks the third consecutive year that IFFCO has posted profits exceeding ₹3,000 crore. This year witnessed an impressive 47% increase in the sale of nano fertilizers, with the sale of IFFCO Nano DAP alone registering an extraordinary 118% growth.
IFFCO sold a total of 365.09 lakh bottles of nano fertilizers this year, a significant jump from 248.95 lakh bottles sold in the previous year. The use of Nano Urea Plus and Nano DAP has not only benefited farmers but also resulted in a notable reduction in the consumption of conventional fertilizers.
IFFCO Chairman Shri Dilip Sanghani stated that the dream of “Prosperity through Cooperation” is being realized through IFFCO’s strong performance. Demonstrating its commitment to its members, IFFCO has consistently provided a 20% dividend for 23 consecutive years.
IFFCO is soon set to launch advanced products such as Nano Zinc, Nano Copper, and Granular Nano NPK, which will enhance agricultural productivity while ensuring nutritional balance. This initiative is transforming the agriculture and food value chain through the use of cutting-edge technologies like drones, AI, and nanotechnology.
IFFCO has launched 203 model nano village projects across the country, which have led to a 28.73% reduction in chemical fertilizer usage and a 5.8% increase in crop productivity. IFFCO is also working towards linking this project with carbon credit certification.
IFFCO’s Managing Director, Dr. U. S. Awasthi, has been honored on the international stage with prestigious awards such as the ‘Rochdale Pioneers Award 2024’ and the title of ‘Fertiliser Man of India,’ bringing global recognition to IFFCO’s contributions.
These achievements by IFFCO are setting a new direction for India’s cooperative movement and ensuring that the country’s farming community moves toward a self-reliant and progressive future.
