Crafted by college students, the idol’s unconventional appearance sparked outrage among certain groups, igniting a heated debate over cultural representation and religious sentiments.

Leading the charge against the perceived impropriety, members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) voiced concerns over what they deemed the “vulgarity” of the idol. Their protest gained momentum as supporters from the Bajrang Dal also joined in, amplifying the dissent.
