New Delhi (India) October 8: India launched a blistering attack on Pakistan at the United Nations on, saying that the terror nexus of Islamabad has now spread its tentacles to threaten Pakistan itself. Addressing the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly here, India's First Secretary Raghoo Puri referred to the recent statement of Pakistan Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the internal terror threat to Pakistan.
Puri also slammed Pakistan over its comments over Operation Sindoor, rubbished Islamabad's stand over UN designated terrorist Masood Azhar and quoted 9/11, 26/11 and Pahalgam terror attack.
India, in its Right of Reply in the Sixth Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations, responded to the statement by the Pakistan representative on Agenda Item: Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism.

“Pakistan speaks of combating terrorism while seeking to obscure the very question that this committee must confront — What happens when terrorists are financed, facilitated, trained, sheltered, or supported from the territory of a State?,” Puri said.
Puri Slams Pakistan’s Terror Narrative
He added that India has been consistent on this question, emphasising that terrorism cannot be tackled through resolutions, and that the action should be taken against the terrorists, their organisers and sponsors.
“For years, Pakistan has presented itself as a frontline State in combating terrorism and as a victim while masking the fact that the Frankensteins the Pakistani state has created and lost control over have moved from wreaking havoc in neighbouring countries to doing the same in Pakistan,” Puri said.
“Yet, we also remember that just a few months ago, Pakistani representatives used this forum to call the Jaish-e-Mohammed a defunct organisation. The world has seen the script play earlier, and we are clear-eyed that this time also it is going to be no different,” he added.
Puri Recalls Major Terror Attacks
On remembering the terror strikes, Puri said that offering refuge to terrorists deprives victims of justice, and hampers the global effort to counter terrorism. He added that India shall stand for the safety of its people and will deliver a response to the terror attacks against India.
Recalling the brutal attack carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba's proxy, The Resistance Front, in Pahalgam, he reminded the world of how the jihadists first singled out their victims by asking their religious identity before shooting them.
“The world has not forgotten 9/11 and where its perpetrators, including Osama bin Laden, were caught. The world has not forgotten 26/11. The world has not forgotten Pahalgam,” Puri said.
“The victims in Pahalgam were not asked about their political orientation, they were asked about their religion. It is therefore deeply ironic that Pakistan speaks of combating religious hatred while allowing the conditions that enable it to persist and thrive, especially by fomenting cross-border terrorism,” he said.
“Pakistan continues with its narrative building, misinformation, and disinformation. If bombed-out airfields and cratered runways look like victory to Pakistan, they are of course welcome to enjoy it," he added.
