Trump Appreciates 'Daring' US Rescue of F-15 Pilot from Iran After Jet Crash

New Delhi (India) April 5:President Donald Trump revealed that the American fighter jet crew member who disappeared for two days after Iran had shot down the warplane had finally been saved in one of the most "daring operations" ever carried out by the United States. At least five people died and several "flying objects" were destroyed including a transport plane during the US operation to recover the crew member of the fighter jet that was downed.

"We Got Him!" – Trump

"We got him," US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social while announcing that the other crew member from the downed F-15E fighter jet has been rescued and is "safe and sound".
"WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND!" Trump said.

“This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran , being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue," he said.

One Saved Immediately, Other Hid

While one of the crew members was saved right away, another one was lost. Though the US had not announced the other crew member's rescue, Trump today said it was because "they did not want to risk the second rescue operation".
"This is the first time in military memory that two US Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory. WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND! The fact that we were able to pull off both of these operations, without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded, just proves once again, that we have achieved overwhelming Air Dominance and Superiority over the Iranian skies," he said.

Iran Hunted Pilot with $60K Reward

While the F-15E crew member was avoiding capture in hostile territory, Iranian authorities were still tracking his location. Tehran had also offered a reward of $60,000 to whoever captured him alive.
Iran's shooting down of the US fighter jet is the first time the US has suffered loss of crewed aircraft in combat in the ongoing conflict. The last time an American fighter jet was shot down by enemy fire was supposedly during 2003.
