Iran Shots US F-35 Jet, Captures Ejected Pilot Amid Rescue Operation
Iran claims it shot down a second US F-35 fighter jet over central Iran. The pilot is unlikely to be able to make it out alive.
New Delhi (India) April 3:A US pilot may have been caught in Iran after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly shot down US F-35 and F-15 E fighter jets. The reports could not be independently verified. According to the Tasnim news agency, the pilot of a US F-35 was ejected from a jet hit by the IRGC Aerospace Force over southwest Iran.
Sources close to the Iranian government also confirmed that the pilot had been captured. The US Central Command, Pentagon and White House have not responded to reports of their jets being shot down.
