New Delhi (India) August 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declares in his Independence Day speech on Friday that India will create the Sudarshan Chakra. It is a cutting-edge weaponry system by 2035. This will be done in order to strengthen the country's defenses against any possible threats. 

In the upcoming ten years, this cutting-edge technological barrier will safeguard all vital national locations. It will also guarantee complete protection against changing threats.

Sudarshan Chakra mission announced

The Sudarshan Chakra is a daring shift in India's defense strategy. It positions itself as a contemporary security philosophy inspired by Lord Krishna's famous weapon. He says it will cover every important place in the nation, including train stations, medical facilities, and places of worship. 

Modi said, "In the next ten years, by 2035, I want to expand, strengthen, and modernise this national security shield. Drawing inspiration from Lord Shri Krishna, we have chosen the path of the Sudarshan Chakra. The nation will be launching the Sudarshan Chakra Mission."

PM Modi emphasizes in his speech that India needs to be prepared for the changing nature of conflict. He mentions Operation Sindoor, in which India used technology. The technology was created over the past decade to stop Pakistani missile and drone assaults. He says the country will keep expanding its military might as warfare technology develops.

₹1 lakh crore jobs scheme launched

On India's 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches a Rs 1 lakh crore employment program. It is designed to help young people begin their first jobs in the private sector.

The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana is a new government program that will give young men and women Rs 15,000 when they start their first private sector employment. The program will also offer incentives to businesses that increase employment opportunities.

Modi said, "Under this scheme, young men and women getting their first job in the private sector will receive Rs 15,000 from the government. Companies that create more employment opportunities will also be given incentive amounts." 

GST reforms coming in October

Speaking about tax reforms, Prime Minister Modi states that the government will begin the next stage of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms by October.

He says that the reforms will simplify the GST system. It will increase compliance, and make transactions easier for both individuals and businesses. It also promises what he called a "bahut bada tohfa" for citizens.

PM Modi speaks from the Red Fort's ramparts for 103 minutes. It is his longest Independence Day speech to date.
