Police Recreate Lohagad Fort Murder Scene With Accused Siya Goyal

It is part of the investigation into the June 18 incident where Agarwal was allegedly pushed off the fort by his fiancée Goyal and Chaudhary, her alleged boyfriend. 

Police Recreate Sequence of Alleged Murder

Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill said that the accused has been brought to the place where the alleged incident took place for recreation.

He said, "The accused have been taken to the Lohagad Fort, specifically to the spot where the incident occurred, to recreate the scene. The entire sequence of events is being reconstructed: the route taken, where the accused positioned themselves, the specific actions performed, and how the incident unfolded. The accused has provided details regarding this," to news agency ANI.

Movement of Accused Under Scanner

As per police, recreating the entire chain of the incident, including the movement of the accused on that day will help in the reconstruction of crime. Video recording of the crime scene has begun. 

Details of movement and positioning of the accused on the day of the alleged incident, how both of them allegedly pushed off the victim from the hill, the alleged signal given by Goyal before pushing off the victim, Chaudhary's movements at the fort and whether he entered without any ticket and followed the duo have been part of the investigation. 

Father Appeals for Eyewitnesses to Come Forward

Ketan’s father Vishal Agarwal appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and help in the investigation as several people were present at Lohagad Fort. 

"Some people are messaging us, saying they were present at the fort, but they are not approaching the police. I urge all of them to come forward and help us get justice for Ketan. I assure them they will not face any problems," he said.

Details of Ketan Agarwal Murder Case

Goyal and Chaudhary were arrested for allegedly conspiring to kill Agarwal. As per sources, Goyal confessed that she was forced to marry Agarwal as she feared that calling off the wedding would damage the reputation of her family.

Goyal and Chaudhary allegedly planned and practiced the killing days before the execution. As part of their investigation, police are also trying to understand the movements and coordination between Goyal and Chaudhary in putting to use an online plan for execution. In recent developments that may expand the ongoing probe, messages were found in phones of both Goyal and Chaudhary deleted earlier.
