The Congress manifesto promises 5 justice and 25 guarantees. Congress has expressed the belief that this is a historic guarantee and it has changed the lives of the people of the country. 25 Guarantees of Congress
Congress has also given 25 guarantees to undermine the Modi guarantee. OPC’s contention, one lakh rupees per year to a woman from a poor family, 50 percent reservation in jobs for women has been announced in the manifesto. Guarantee of implementation of MSP Act as per Swaminathan formula for farmers, health insurance of 25 lakhs for laborers, free treatment, doctors, medicines, hospitals, tests, surgeries have also been announced in the manifesto. This manifesto has also promised to give land to those who do not have land.
50 percent reservation limit will be removed
In many states, reservation cannot be given above 50 percent. Therefore, many groups are not getting the benefit of reservation. As a result, agitations for reservation are going on in many states. In this background, Congress has made a big announcement on reservation. The 50 percent reservation limit will be abolished if it comes to power. It has also been announced through this manifesto that the limit of reservation will also be increased.
A constitutional amendment will be made to increase the reservation limit to 50 percent for SC, ST and OBC. 10 percent reservation for EWS in jobs and educational institutions will be applied to all castes and communities without any discrimination.
Backlog of SC, ST and OBC reserved posts will be filled within one year. The scholarship of OBC, SC, ST students will be doubled. They will be assisted to study abroad. Scholarships for PhD students will be doubled.
Census will be done
The Congress will conduct a nationwide social, economic and caste-wise census to know the economic and social condition of the castes and sub-castes. The plan will be implemented on the basis of the figures.
