13th June 2023, Mumbai: Prime Minister addresses newly-recruited employees, criticizes corruption and nepotism while highlighting government’s efforts towards transparency and safeguarding youth’s future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during an event where appointment letters were distributed to over 70,000 newly-recruited government employees, criticized “dynastic” political parties for promoting nepotism and corruption in government job recruitment. Without naming any party, he accused them of betraying the youth and stated that his government is working towards safeguarding their bright future.

PM Modi highlighted the significant reduction in the recruitment process timeline, stating that it now takes only a few months transparently, unlike the previous duration of one to one-and-a-half years. He emphasized how dynastic parties encouraged nepotism and corruption, particularly in government job appointments, and expressed his government’s commitment to combating these issues.

Asserting the positive changes brought by his government, PM Modi mentioned the increased stability, safety, and strength of India compared to a decade ago. He identified decisiveness as the hallmark of the Indian government and pointed out the availability of new employment opportunities in both the private and public sectors. Initiatives such as Mudra Yojana, Start Up India, and Stand Up India have also created self-employment opportunities.

Despite challenges posed by the pandemic and global supply chain disruptions, PM Modi emphasized India’s economic progress. He credited the government’s decisions for creating lakhs of opportunities in the private sector and highlighted the significance of ‘Rozgar Mela’ as a distinctive feature of the BJP and NDA governments.

PM Modi described the current period as the “Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal” (Era of Freedom’s Nectar), wherein new recruits have the goal of transforming India into a developed country in the next 25 years. He contrasted the previous governments’ identity of political corruption and malpractices with the present-day stability and decisiveness of the Indian government, which is recognized for its economic and progressive social reforms.
