A senior minister of the Mamata government has confirmed that TMC will come up with the ‘Didi’s Guarantee’ slogan to counter BJP’s slogan of ‘Modi ki Guarantee’. For Voters to remember Didi’s promise and assurance while pressing the EVM button on polling day, the party has decided to use Didi’s guarantee as a weapon to neutralize Modi’s guarantee slogan.

Sources in the party say that various schemes will be mentioned. Mamata tripled farmers’ income, but Modi’s promise to double it failed. Two crore women got help under the state government’s Lakshmi Bhandar scheme, while under the Centre’s Beti Bachao Abhiyan, 80 percent of the money went to advertising.

Four meetings of Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated Modi’s promise in all four meetings in Bengal in the first nine days of this month. Mentioning some future plans on the economic and development front, Modi has also promised to complete them in time.

Voting in all 7 phases for Lok Sabha elections in Bengal

The Election Commission on Saturday (March 16) had announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections in all the states and union territories of the country. Elections will be held in seven phases for a total of 543 seats. The first phase of voting will be held on April 19 and the last phase of voting will be held on June 1. The results will come on June 4. Voting will be held in all 7 phases for 42 Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal.

What is Modi ki guarantee?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the development of small towns as important during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He said that the development of small towns is at the center of his resolve to make a developed India. Modi started touring villages and cities through his vehicle ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’.

He said that ‘when hope from everyone ends, then ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ begins.’ Modi said the development of small towns is at the center of his resolve to create a ‘developed India’ by 2047. Addressing the beneficiaries of ‘Developed India Sankalp Yatra’ through ‘Video Conference’, the Prime Minister said that with the resolve of ‘Developed India’, ‘Modi’s Guarantee Vehicle’ is reaching every corner of the country.

2019 Lok Sabha elections in Bengal

There was a close contest between BJP and TMC in West Bengal in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress won 22 out of 42 seats, while the BJP got 18 seats. The other two seats were won by Congress.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced its candidates for 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal. The party has fielded cricketer Yusuf Pathan against Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary from Baharampur seat. Apart from this, the names of actor Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol and former cricketer Kirti Azad from Durgapur are included. TMC has canceled the ticket of actress Nusrat Jahan from Basirhat Lok Sabha seat and actress Mimi Chakraborty from Jadavpur seat.
