The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and NCA staff are pleasantly surprised by Pant’s quick pace of recuperation. After undergoing knee surgery in January, Pant missed significant matches, including the IPL 2022, WTC 2023 final, and bilateral series for India. Rajnikanth has successfully rehabilitated players like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Murali Vijay in the past. Thulasi Ram Yuvaraj, another NCA physio, is also supporting Pant in his recovery journey.
While Pant’s ability to walk properly is an encouraging sign, the ultimate challenge lies in regaining his full skill set. This remains a significant concern for the BCCI as the World Cup draws nearer. However, Pant’s determination and progress offer hope for his successful return to the field.
