Roblox, which is well-known for its innovative tools and wide variety of games, has seen some users create games that are motivated by tragic real-world events, such as the most recent submersible disaster.All five on board the Titan, an OceanGate submersible, tragically perished when it collided with another submersible as it descended to survey the Titanic’s ruins.
The fact that the submersible used a Logitech videogame controller for navigation caused the incident to garner attention among the gaming community.
Few Roblox developers have produced games that are inspired by the sad accident, which has caused debate and criticism.These games include “Titanic Submarine Simulator” and “Escape The Evil Submarine Obby.” Both games centre around surviving in a submersible that has crashed that is similar to the one that was in the disaster. The response to these games has been mostly unfavourable, and many people have accused Roblox users of utilising questionable trends for attention.
While some players didn’t seem surprised because the Roblox community has produced tragic-themed games previously, the general opinion is still one of disdain.It’s Interesting how this pattern matched up with an increased global interest in submarines.
Even the obscure independent game “Iron Lung” saw a rise in sales as a result of the disappearance of the Titanic submersible. Players in this spooky horror game must navigate an enclosed underwater environment while dealing with alien moon’s ocean of blood.
David Szymanski, the developer of “Iron Lung,” expressed discomfort at the game’s increasing sales during such a horrific occurrence, believing it was improper.
The speedy production of these games is a testament to Roblox’s versatile game creation engine. Action-adventure, first-person shooter, and racing games are just a few of the genres represented in games created with Roblox’s capabilities. In the future, hopefully, the Roblox community will focus more of its inventiveness on less dismal real-life models, producing a more uplifting and responsible environment for game production.
Without using exploitative or contentious themes, Roblox has the ability to produce a wide range of interesting and creative games. It is essential for creators to preserve moral principles and pick sources of inspiration that value respect, inclusivity, and pleasure.
