7th June 2023, Mumbai: Tech giant Samsung is planning to introduce a dust resistance feature in its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 smartphones, set to be launched next month. The Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series are already known for being the world’s first water-resistant folding phones. The news comes from reports by SamMobile. According to tipster @chunvn8888, both the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 will have an IP58 rating for dust resistance. This enhancement will further strengthen the durability and reliability of these folding devices. Earlier speculations hinted at the use of a teardrop hinge design for the AZ Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 devices.
Samsung has also been working on upgrading the hinge of the Z Fold 5 smartphone, aiming for it to withstand 200,000 folds. This improvement is part of Samsung’s continuous efforts to enhance the folding mechanism and ensure long-lasting performance.In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a 108MP primary rear camera, providing users with high-resolution photography.
Additionally, there are indications that the Z Fold 5 will come with an in-built slot for the S Pen, Samsung’s stylus pen, enabling users to conveniently utilize the S Pen for various tasks and creative purposes.
Furthermore, there have been reports suggesting that Samsung is planning to unveil a new tri-foldable smartphone alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 devices.
