UPSC 2025 Prelims Results out; check now at the official site
The UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Result has been made public on the Union Public Service Commission's official website.

New Delhi (India) June 12: The UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Result has been announced on the Union Public Service Commission's official website. Candidates can view their results on upsc.gov.in if they sat the Civil Services Examination (CSE) preliminary exam.
The results are made available in PDF format by the Union Public Service Commission. The names and roll numbers of eligible applicants are included in the file. After the final result is announced, the PDF with the candidates' scores is made public.
Marks earned on the preliminary exam will not be used to determine the final merit list because it is merely a screening examination. The commission wishes to fill 979 positions with this paper.
The preliminary test was administered by UPSC on May 25, 2025. There were two two-hour-long objective-type papers (MCQs) had a maximum score of 200 points each.
There is also negative marking, which means that a penalty of one-third (0.33) of the marks given to a question will be subtracted for each incorrect response.
The UPSC Prelims 2025 had almost 10 lakh applicants. 14,161 applicants in all passed the test.
Candidates who pass the preliminary exam must complete the UPSC DAF form with the information containing Eligibility, Personal Details, Service Preference, Cadre Preference,Document Upload and Declaration & Fee Payment.
Only those who complete the UPSC DAF form will be permitted to take the main exams.
The Civil Services (Main) Examination will include a written test and a personality/interview test. The written exam will have nine standard essay-style papers covering the areas listed in Section II, Subsection (B), two of which will be qualifying in nature.
The date of this year's UPSC CSE Mains 2025 is set for August 22. The candidates who pass the main exams will advance to the last round, the Personality Test or Interview.
Shakti Dubey earned All India Rank 1 in the UPSC 2024 final exam with 1,043 total points, which included 843 in the written exam and 200 in the interview.
