Iqbal Hussain, a talented athlete from Assam, has brought immense pride to India by winning the Gold Medal in Men's Singles Ball Badminton at the South Asian Games 2025, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from June 10 to 12. As his village name is Duliajan it is very small village situated at the corner most part of India in North East part of India as  Duliajan's Iqbal Hussain Wins Gold for India at 11th South Asian Games 2025!

A moment of immense pride for Duliajan and the entire state of Assam,INDIA Mr. Iqbal Hussain, son of Mr. Tofazul Hussain and a resident of Duliajan, Assam, has made history by representing India in Ball Badminton at the 11th South Asian Games 2025, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from June 10th to 12th.
Bringing laurels to the nation, Iqbal Hussain clinched the Gold Medal in the Senior Men's Singles category-proving his talent, dedication, and passion on an international stage.

He competed against top players of Ball Badminton in 
South Asian  countries that are Maldives, opBangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament.

This remarkable international win comes after his earlier success at the North East Senior Zonal Games, where he clinched the Gold Medal in Doubles. His consistent performance earned him a spot in the Indian National Team Trials, ultimately leading to his selection for Team India.
Iqbal credited his victory to the unwavering support of his family, coaches, and the sporting community. He expressed his commitment to further raise India's profile in Ball Badminton on the global stage.

I belong to middle class family with no support for my  sports career from family but then also I didn't give up I workhard day night for my  sports and my studies and I have keept balance on both studies and sports equally with this I completed my Masters in Physical education and NIS Course in Athletics Became Nis Coach and also have been in sports more then 18 years with a big dream to shine in world with Tri color
