Begur(Bengaluru)[India] November 16: The Last Kartika Monday festival at Begur Nagalingeshwara Temple will be held on 17 November. Bengaluru traffic teams expect nearly ninety thousand people to visit the temple through the day. The Laksha Deepotsava in the evening will also bring a huge crowd. This festival is old and has been celebrated in Begur for many years. Many families come here every Kartika season. The temple area often gets busy during such days. So the city has prepared a clear plan.

Traffic Restrictions On Key Roads

Heavy traffic is expected near Begur roads. So some routes will stay blocked for the day. The stretch on Begur Road from PK Kalyana Mantapa to Ekana Hospital Junction will stay closed. Manipal County Road from Falcon Market to the temple will also be blocked. These areas have seen festival rush for a long time. Older residents say that the crowd grows every year. The restrictions will help to avoid jams and long delays.

Changes On Other Important Routes

DLF Road from DLF Junction to Begur Lake Junction will see movement control. The road from Ekana Hospital Junction towards the temple will stay blocked. These roads connect many housing layouts. So traffic often becomes slow on festival days. Bengaluru has many events across the year. People in the city have learnt to adjust during big gatherings. These steps are taken to keep the flow steady and safe for everyone.

Suggested Alternative Roads For Smooth Travel

Authorities have given alternate routes for drivers. Those coming from Bommanahalli and Hongasandra can take a right at PK Kalyana Mantapa. Then they can travel through Devarachikkanahalli Road and reach DLF Junction. From there they can move via Elenahalli Main Road to Begur Koppa Road. Drivers heading to Manipal County can use Vishwapriya Layout. These routes help people avoid the temple zone. Such plans have been used in earlier years too.

More Route Plans For The Public

People coming from Hosur Main Road and Manipal County Road can take a left near Falcon Market. They can pass through AECS C Block and reach Mylasandra to join Begur Koppa Road. Those travelling from Begur Koppa Road towards Begur can turn left at Ekana Hospital Junction. They can pass through DLF Road and reach Devarachikkanahalli and Bommanahalli. These steps will help keep the area calm. The city hopes that the festival day stays smooth and safe for all.
