Rohini Acharya Alleges Humiliation, Abuse and Family Rift a Day After Quitting RJD and Politics Following Poll Debacle
The day after quitting politics and her father’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Rohini Acharya has made new claims due to which she decided to resign from the party. Speaking to X on Sunday, she revealed she had dirty abuses slippers thrown at her.

New Delhi (India) November 16: After leaving politics and denouncing her own family, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad’s daughter has again targeted the close associates of Tejashwi Yadav.
Rohini Details Abuse and Humiliation
A day after her party’s debacle in the Assembly election, Ms. Acharya on Saturday (November 15, 2025) blamed Mr. Yadav’s several close associates including Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat Khan for a humiliating defeat.
Ms. Acharya poster, “Yesterday, a daughter, a sister, a married woman, a mother was humiliated, filthy abuses were hurled at her, a slipper was raised to hit her. I did not compromise on my self-respect, I did not surrender the truth, and solely because of this, I had to endure this insult” on her social media account on X.
She added, “Yesterday, a daughter, out of compulsion, left her crying parents and sisters and came away; they tore me away from my maternal home, they left me orphaned, may none of you ever walk my path, may no family ever have a daughter-sister like Rohini.”
Airport Interaction Raises Fresh Questions on Family Rift
When media persons sought her reaction at the Patna airport over her Saturday (November 15, 2025) cryptic tweet, Ms. Acharya said she does not have any family and better media can ask this to Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Mr. Rameez Nemat Khan and Mr. Tejashwi Yadav what was it?
She had accused them, saying they had apparently "thrown her out"of the family and also didn't want to take any responsibility for its failure.
She said, “I don't have a family. You should go and ask Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, and Rameez. They are the ones who threw me out of the family. They do not want to take any responsibility… The whole nation is asking why the party failed like this. When you take the names of Sanjay Yadav and Rameez, you are thrown out of the house, disgraced, and abused,” to the reporters.
Emotional Outburst on Social Media Sparks Political Storm
On Saturday, Tejashwi Yadav's sister conveyed through social media that she is leaving politics, adding that she has "disowned" her family.
She posted, “I’m quitting politics and I’m disowning my family … This is what Sanjay Yadav and Rameez had asked me to do …nd I’m taking all the blame’s” on X.
From Donating Kidney to Father to Leaving Politics
Ms. Acharya resides in Singapore and was on a visit to Bihar during the Assembly election where she came back on November 15. She shot to fame when she offered her kidney and donated it to her ailing father who had been diagnosed multiple diseases. She is married to Rao Samresh Singh with whom she has two sons and a daughter.
On 5 December 2022, Mr. Lalu Prasad had undergone kidney transplant the second daughter of Lalu Yadav Ms. Acharya donated her kidney for the operation.
