New Delhi [India], May 21: What happens when the world’s leading furniture fittings manufacturer meets centuries-old Sufi tradition? When modern craftsmanship walks through the gates of a palace? You get a dazzling night like no other, Blum India’s Design Reverie at Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace.
The Austrian furniture fittings brand hosted the third edition of its beloved industry event — and this one pulled out all the stops. Set against the grandeur of the luxurious palace-turned-hotel, with its sweeping staircases and royal courtyards, the evening turned into a one-of-a-kind celebration of connection, creativity, and culture.
This wasn’t your typical industry gathering. Design Reverie is a vibe. Born from Blum’s belief that great design deserves great company, it’s a space for architects and interior designers to come together — not in conference rooms, but in camaraderie, nestled in culture. To swap stories, share ideas, build relationships… and enjoy the mystical beauty of Sufi qawwali while they’re at it.
If Delhi and Bangalore set the stage for Blum’s signature design event, Hyderabad stole the show. From the mystical qawwali by the legendary Warsi Brothers to insightful conversations led by design leaders from IIID (Institute of Indian Interior Designers), the evening was equal parts inspiration and indulgence.
And true to its name, Design Reverie wasn’t about pitches or presentations. It was about pausing the hustle, soaking in the space, and reimagining what design events could feel like — relaxed, rooted, and rich in local flavour.
Blum India’s Managing Director, Nadeem Patni, captured the spirit of the night perfectly: “This wasn’t just an event. It was a celebration — of Hyderabad’s legacy, of shared design journeys, and of what’s possible when we come together with intention and joy.”
And Hyderabad — a city where tradition and innovation live side by side — gets that. With Design Reverie, Blum isn’t just building visibility in the region. It’s building relationships, fostering community, celebrating culture and putting thoughtful design where it belongs: at the centre of everyday life.
