The Madhya Pradesh police have apprehended Pravesh Shukla, the individual captured in a viral video urinating on a tribal man. Additional Superintendent of Police of Sidhi, Anjulata Patle, stated that the accused is currently being interrogated and will face legal consequences soon. ASP Patle emphasized that appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law, with the accused being charged under sections 294, 504 of the Indian Penal Code, and the SC/ST Act.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his strong disapproval of the incident, vowing to deliver the harshest punishment to the accused. CM Chouhan made it clear that the state government will ensure the accused is held accountable, setting an example for others.

Speaking to the media in Bhopal, CM Chouhan stated, “I have instructed to give the accused the strictest punishment. It should be a moral lesson for everyone. We won’t spare him. An accused has no religion, caste or party. Accused is an accused.”

The incident occurred in Kubri village, where the viral video captured the accused, reportedly intoxicated, urinating on the face of the victim, Dasmat Ravat, a resident of Karaundi village in the district.In response to the chief minister’s directive, the police have filed a case against the accused at Bahari police station under sections 294, 504 of the Indian Penal Code, and section 3(1) (r)(s) of the SC/ST Act. Additionally, the National Security Act (NSA) has been invoked against the accused.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra also condemned the incident, describing it as deeply shameful. Mishra assured that strict action will be taken against the accused, further emphasizing the state’s commitment to addressing such incidents.
