Actress Adah Sharma Of ‘The Kerala Story’ Involved In Accident Amidst Death Threats

15th May 2023, Mumbai: Adah Sharma, an actor from the film “The Kerala Story,” is said to have been involved in a road accident on Sunday. The news quickly spread on the internet, prompting the Bollywood star to provide an update on her condition via her Twitter account.

Adah Sharma reassured her fans that she was doing well after the accident and that it was not a significant incident. Through her tweet, she stated that she and her team were safe and there was nothing major to worry about. She also expressed gratitude for the concern shown by her fans. Her tweet read, “Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I’m fine. I’ve been receiving a lot of messages due to the news of our accident circulating online. Our entire team is okay, and thankfully, there was nothing serious or major. Thank you for your concern.

As the controversy surrounding The Kerala Story continues, Adah Sharma has reportedly received death threats. The film has been under fire from some political parties and groups who allege that it does not depict accurate information and promotes animosity towards the Muslim community. Even the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, has banned the film in the state.

Adah Sharma expressed her gratitude to the audience for making The Kerala Story a box office hit, despite the controversies surrounding the film. In a tweet, she acknowledged the challenges she faced, such as discrediting her sincerity, mocking her integrity, and receiving threats, in addition to the teaser being shadow-banned and the movie being banned in certain states. However, she credited the audience for making the film the number one female-led movie in the first week of all time. She further added, “Wowww! Audience aap Jeet Gaye. The Kerala Story has been performing exceptionally well at the box office, with predictions that it will cross the Rs 130 crore-mark within two weeks of its release. The film, which hit the theatres on May 5, explores the experiences of Hindu women from Kerala who were trafficked to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) after being converted to Islam. The movie was produced by Vipul Shah and directed by Sudipto Sen.
