Ayushmann Khurrana Give Insights On Childhood Nostalgia

In the past, the popular Bollywood movie “Chachi 420,” featuring renowned actors like Amrish Puri, Om Puri, and Kamal Haasan, was a beloved comedy among viewers.

Ayushmann Khurrana shared that his latest film, “Dream Girl 2,” evoked childhood memories. Just like Kamal Haasan in “Chachi 420,” Ayushmann played the character of both a man and a woman in the movie, bringing back nostalgic feelings for him.

In the meantime, while having a chit chat with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann Khurrana stated, “For me, Dream Girl 2 was a film where my childhood nostalgia came alive. I am deeply inspired by Kamal Haasan sir’s films and his phenomenal acting skills. Chachi 420 was a film that I thoroughly loved and Kamal sir was so convincing playing a woman. So, for me, I was getting to play a role that was similar to what Kamal sir had essayed on screen.”

Embracing a Woman’s Role in Dream Girl 2

The actor further express his immense happiness about the success of the film and being a blockbuster in theatres and mentioned how the role acted as a “confidence booster” for him as he found the role of a woman to be the “toughest one” and the dialogue made an impact, “ Ladki banne se zyada mushkil hota hai ladki hona”

Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his joy at the overwhelming love the audience showered on the film. He emphasized that making people laugh, especially in comedy, is challenging, making him extremely grateful for the positive reception and acknowledging that his efforts have paid off.
