From Pyaar Ka Punchnaama to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety: Kartik Aaryan recalls his seven years struggle before his big break

4 June 2023, Mumbai: From his humble beginnings in 2011, Kartik Aaryan has come a long way to become one of Bollywood’s most promising new stars. In his 12-year career, he has acted in some of the biggest movies, including Luka Chuppi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and others. The performer had both highs and lows. The actor recently talked openly about his early years of struggle in an interview with ETimes.

With Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Kartik Aaryan made his acting debut in 2011, and appeared in it’s sequel in 2015. Kartik appeared in Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety in 2018,. “There was a lot of struggle before I cracked my first film Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” Kartik recalled of his struggles back then. “When I didn’t receive the attention I yearned for, which I eventually achieved after Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, there was a battle. So those seven years, from Pyaar Ka Punchnama to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, were the hardest of my life.”

The Shehzada actor said he was open to trying out other types of films, but they have to have a lot of entertainment value. “My films will always be connected by the common thread of entertainment,” the actor said. “The audience may expect me to portray a variety of personalities, but regardless of the genre, I won’t compromise on the entertainment value of my films. In light of this, I am enthusiastic about working on films of many genres as long as they are highly entertaining.”

Alongside Kiara Advani, Kartik will appear in Satyaprem Ki Katha. This will be their second collaboration following Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. On June 29, the movie will be released. Kartik is presently getting ready for Kabir Khan’s upcoming film. He also appears in Captain India by Hansal Mehta.
