16th May 2023,Mumbai:On May 15, Gauri Khan held a high-profile event in a five-star hotel in Mumbai to announce the publication of her coffee table book, “My Life in Design.” The surprising appearance of Gauri’s spouse, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with Gauri at the book launch caught the attendees off guard.
Shah Rukh Khan’s heartfelt opening remarks helped to set the tone for the event. Later, SRK explained how Gauri created their famous bungalow, Mannat, because they lacked the funds to engage a qualified interior designer.The next question was directed at Gauri Khan and her favourite part of the book. “The family photos that we took together make up the nicest part of the book”, according to Gauri. “Bringing them all together under one roof (was challenging).
“Getting Shah Rukh’s dates was simpler. We were simply waiting on Aryan’s dates, wondering when he would allow me the time and when AbRam would allow me the time to take this one picture. Aside from the design, that is what I have really appreciated.”
The guests were then informed by the announcer that the Khan family’s photo shoot had really been done twice. Before the epidemic, one was completed. But afterwards, Gauri remarked, “he looks different now; we have to repeat the procedure. The anchor clearly meant to refer to AbRam, the youngest child of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri. In his signature humorous tone, Shah Rukh Khan questioned, “Who, me?”
SRK lavishly praised Gauri in his introductory speech, saying, “The book might encourage those who feel like their aspirations have passed them by. They can attempt it at any age and without any official schooling; she was unable to pursue formal education because of her young marriage, but she was still able to make something of it. Gauri, thank you for imparting this success mantra. I feel incredibly fortunate and delighted to be present for her book launch”.
