17th June 2023, Mumbai: In a surprising turn of events, Kylie Jenner, the renowned beauty queen and billionaire entrepreneur, finds herself facing legal trouble due to unpaid fees for photoshoots associated with her highly acclaimed Kylie Cosmetics brand. The lawsuit, filed by model Sasha Palma, claims that she has never received compensation for her work, amounting to an astonishing $120,000.
According to documents, Sasha alleges that Kylie Cosmetics hired her for two separate photoshoots in 2020 to promote the brand’s products. The first shoot, originally scheduled for June 2020, was intended to be a one-day gig with a daily rate of $2,000. However, Sasha contends that Kylie’s brand missed the payment deadline by more than a month, leaving her without the payment she rightfully earned. The situation didn’t improve with the second photoshoot, which took place in August 2020. Sasha claims that the payment arrived over 30 days late once again, prompting her to demand an additional $60,000 in penalty fees. In response to the allegations, a representative from Kylie’s team has come forward, stating that Sasha was indeed paid “before the NET 45 days per her invoice for both shoots.” They assert that they possess documentation to support their side of the story. Additionally, an insider close to Kylie Jenner suggests that the delayed payment may be attributed to the model’s agent, deflecting blame away from the makeup mogul.
