16th June 2023, Mumbai: Sunny Singh, known for his versatile performances, has recently opened up about his experience working alongside Prabhas in the much-anticipated film Adipurush. In the epic saga, Prabhas portrays the iconic character of Raghav, also known as Lord Ram, while Sunny essays the role of his younger brother, Laxman.
Having shared the screen with Prabhas, Sunny Singh revealed that their collaboration in Adipurush brought them closer, developing a bond akin to that of brothers. In an interview with Indian Express, he expressed, “Adipurush is also special to me because I got to work with Prabhas who is now like an elder brother to me. When we shot some scenes together, we used to get emotional as we felt like two brothers going through that situation in reality.” The chemistry between Sunny and Prabhas shines through their emotional performances. The actors would often find themselves caught up in the moment, shedding tears while delivering their lines on set. Some scenes required them to express themselves without any dialogue, relying solely on their expressions to convey the depth of their characters’ emotions. Sunny described these moments as a constant challenge but also a unique experience for the entire cast.
Moreover, Sunny Singh admitted that when he initially received the offer for Adipurush, he had no idea about the star-studded cast or the grand scale of the film. However, being offered the role of Laxman alone was enough to make him realize the magnitude of the opportunity. As Adipurush graces screens worldwide, it has generated immense buzz among fans and trade experts alike. With a staggering release on over 6000 screens, including 4000 in India alone, the film is projected to make a resounding impact at the box office. Trade experts have predicted a phenomenal opening, with the film expected to earn a remarkable ₹40 to 50 crore on its first day of release, which is set for June 16.
