‘Jawan’ made its grand entrance into theaters amid enormous fanfare, and it immediately set a historic record by achieving the biggest opening day collection in the history of Hindi cinema, amassing a staggering Rs 129.06 crore worldwide on its first day. As of Day 22, which was September 28, ‘Jawan’ raked in an impressive Rs 5.50 crore net in India alone, bringing the total Indian collection to a staggering Rs 581.43 crore. The film now has its sights set on crossing the Rs 600-crore milestone in India, and it has already outperformed the lifetime nett earnings of ‘Pathaan,’ which stood at Rs 543 crore. However, ‘Jawan’ isn’t just making waves in India; it’s rewriting the record books globally. The film has already crossed the coveted Rs 1,000-crore mark in worldwide collections.
Directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, ‘Jawan’ is an action-packed thriller that explores a father-son relationship while tackling various social and political issues.
