The box office failure of Liger, a pan-Indian film starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, was unexpected. Due to a considerable drop in ticket sales, many showing of the film were cancelled. While Deverakonda took the film’s failure personally and grew emotional about it at SIIMA 2022, the film’s director Puri Jagannadh remarked that he will be unable to ‘cry’ for the next three years over Liger’s failure.
“Success offers a lot of energy, and failure drains all that vitality,” Chiranjeevi said during an Instagram Live session. When we achieve, we feel like geniuses, and when we fail, we feel like fools. Those who believed in us when the movies were successful will turn against us if the movies fail.”
Puri Jagannadh believes that despite the failure, one can recover in a month. A person should not remain sad for more than a month after a loss, according to the director.”There’s a lot of pressure on us,” he continued. We must be powerful in order to address all of these issues. We need to heal when we are injured, but I believe that the healing phase should be quick. People, property, or battles may be lost; however, the recovery period should not exceed one month. We should proceed to the next level.”
Jagannadh remarked that he enjoyed producing Liger and felt happier throughout filming. “I worked on Liger for three years and had a fantastic time working with actors and building amazing sets, and I even got to film with Mike Tyson.” It did, however, fail. We can’t moan about it for the next three years, either. The days I was happier outnumber the days I was upset, he said, reflecting on the past.
Vijay Deverakonda, who had kept a low profile in the aftermath of Liger’s box office flop, recently attended SIIMA 2022. During the awards event, the actor told his fans that he’d be returning soon to delight them.
“I didn’t want to be here today receiving this honour, but I came, and as I speak to you, I assure you that I will complete the task for you.” all of you while also amusing you.” “And great cinema will be made,” he declared during his victory speech.
Vijay Deverakonda is now looking forward to the release of Kushi, in which he will co-star with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
