7 October 2023, Mumbai: BTS’s Suga, currently serving in South Korea’s mandatory military service, has achieved a remarkable milestone on Spotify. On October 6th, according to data from the world’s largest music streaming platform, one of Suga’s songs from his solo mixtape, “Agust D,” surpassed 100 million streams, marking his ninth song to achieve this feat.

Suga, known for his lightning-fast rap verses, released the “Agust D” mixtape in 2016. Recently, one of its songs, “The Last,” crossed the 100 million stream mark on Spotify, becoming his ninth song to do so. Other tracks that have achieved this milestone include “Interlude: Shadow,” “Agust D,” “People,” “Strange,” “What Do You Think?,” “Burn It,” “So Far Away,” and “Daechwita.” What makes this accomplishment even more significant is that Suga is the first solo artist to join this exclusive club. He now shares this honor with K-pop groups EXO and (G)I-DLE, which each have nine songs with 100 million streams. Notably, BTS leads the pack with an impressive 61 songs, followed by BLACKPINK with 24, IU with 15, and Twice with 10.

Suga’s achievement on Spotify adds another highlight to his illustrious career, demonstrating the enduring support of his fans worldwide. This milestone comes at a time when Suga is fulfilling his mandatory military service, making it a testament to his continued influence in the music industry.As for Suga’s recent activities, he is the third member of BTS to join South Korea’s mandatory military services, following Jin and J-hope, who enlisted after releasing their solo albums. Suga began his military service shortly after concluding the encore concert series, “D-DAY THE FINAL,” in Seoul on August 6, 2023.
