India Slams China's Renaming Attempt in Arunachal Pradesh
The spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, clearly said Arunachal Pradesh is India’s part today and will always be. He called China’s act ‘vain and preposterous’.

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) [India], May 14: Arunachal Pradesh lies in the northeastern corner of India. It is full of beautiful hills, rivers, and strong traditions. Since India became free in 1947, Arunachal has always been with India. The local people here are proud Indians. India built schools, roads, and hospitals here after independence. This land shares borders with China, Bhutan, and Myanmar, but it has always been part of the Indian map.
China’s New Trick Fails Again
Recently, China tried to give Chinese names to some places in Arunachal Pradesh. This is not the first time they’ve done this. They want to create confusion. But India has made it of Externclear that just giving new names won’t change reality. India’s Ministryal Affairs strongly said these attempts are useless. No matter how many times China renames places, Arunachal Pradesh will always stay Indian.
What India Said and Why It Matters
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) gave a strong reply. The spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, clearly said Arunachal Pradesh is India’s part today and will always be. He called China’s act ‘vain and preposterous’. The MEA also added that giving new names is just a way of trying to show ownership. But names don’t change the truth. India has full control of the region.
People Living in Arunachal Are True Indians
People in Arunachal speak many languages, follow many faiths, and still feel united as Indians. They vote in Indian elections, celebrate Republic Day, and proudly sing the national anthem. Many young people from here join the Indian Army too. Their daily life is filled with Indian culture. No outside country, not even China, can shake their love for India. They feel hurt when someone else claims their home.
Past Attempts and the Present Stand
This isn’t new. China has been trying to rename parts of Arunachal since 2017. But every time, India has pushed back strongly. From building roads and schools to running Indian government offices there, all work continues in Arunachal Pradesh like any other Indian state. India's brave soldiers also stand firm at the border in areas like Tawang and Kibithu. No matter what tricks China plays, India’s message is clear: this land is forever ours.
