Indore Couple Honeymoon Murder Case: Raja’s family asks for a narco test of the accused
Raja Raghuvanshi's brother, who was killed while on his honeymoon in Meghalaya, is requesting that Raja's wife Sonam and her accused lover Raj Kushwaha undergo a narco analysis test.

New Delhi (India) June 14: The elder brother of Raja Raghuvanshi who was brutally killed in Meghalaya while on his honeymoon, has demanded that Raja's wife and her accused lover Raj undergo a narco analysis test in order to identify the "full truth" behind the tragic incident.
On Friday, Sachin Raghuvanshi called on authorities to test Raja's 25-year-old wife Sonam and her 20-year-old accused lover Raj Kushwaha. Both are being held by Meghalaya Police along with three other people who are main suspects in the crime.
He said, "We want the Meghalaya police to conduct a narco test on Sonam and Kushwaha so that the full truth behind my brother's murder comes out."
In a narco test or truth serum test, the individual is put into a hypnotic condition by injecting him with sodium pentothal, a medication. His imagination gets neutralised in this state, which causes him to disclose the truth about any situation.
Sachin has also advocated for the case to be heard in a fast-track court and for the offenders to be sentenced to "double life imprisonment."
According to Sachin Raghuvanshi, the reports on the duo's interrogation indicate that they might be misleading investigators by accusing one another of being the mastermind behind a brutal murder. He said, "It appears Sonam and Kushwaha are colluding to misdirect the probe."
A special investigative team has been established by state police to look into the case. The case has gained national attention due to its disturbing nature and possible conspiracy.
According to Sachin Raghuvanshi, the two could not have carried out the murderous plan alone. He argued that there are more conspirators, but the police are yet to arrest them. He believes that the narco analysis may reveal their names.
Police have arrested Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi along with Sonam and Kushwaha. Kushwaha has known all three of them since childhood and one of them is his cousin. According to the police, the murder was committed as a "favour" for their friend and they were not your average contract killers.
Sachin Raghuvanshi has called for a full investigation into the entire incident and voiced his opinion that Sonam's marriage to Raja Raghuvanshi was arranged under pressure from her family, especially her mother, who was aware of her suspected relationship with Kushwaha before marriage.
According to police, Kushwaha had paid the co-accused ₹50,000 to pay for their trip and other costs. The planning began in Indore in February, and they had considered how Sonam would disappear after Raja's murder.
The family of Raja Raghuwanshi, a merchant from Indore, performed his "pind daan" in Ujjain. The brothers Sachin and Vipin of Raja Raghuwanshi performed the "pind daan" on the banks of the Kshipra River.
On May 11, Raja married Sonam. Days later, the couple took a honeymoon trip to Sohra, which is located in the East Khasi Hills area of Meghalaya. On May 23, they were reported missing. On June 2, Raja's body was found in a gorge close to Weisawdong Falls. On June 9, Sonam was found by the police in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
